Position: Sr. Software Systems Engineer
Contract Position
Work assignments are broad and involve a wide variety of complex business reporting requirements. Projects require the application of advanced expertise in the areas of Business Objects / Crystal Reports and full technical knowledge of all phases of the software development cycle to initiate and lead projects. Works independently and receives little to no guidance on work assignments. Acts independently to determine or develop the appropriate methods and procedures to apply.
Demonstrates extensive knowledge in job-related functional area and of the business and industry or technology.
Master's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, and 3 - 5 years of Business Objects development experience.
The required 3-5 years of experience must include:
- Implementing core Business Objects products (i.e. BusinessObjects; Designer; Supervisor, WebIntelligence; or Application Foundation) (at least 2 years)
- Writing SQL queries (at least 2 years)
- Database design using major Relational Database Management Systems (e.g. Oracle, SQL, Server or DB2) (at least 2 years)
- Datawarehousing/ETL (e.g. Data Integrator or Informatica) (at least 1 year)
- Working with related business intelligence tools (e.g. Decision Support, OLAP, Multidimensional database technology or analytical applications)
- Working with Windows and Solaris operating systems
- Working with web technologies (HTML or XML), application server environments (JSP, JAVA, J2EE) and web servers (WLS or Apache).
